After the iconic mega auction, the fans were left in shock as MI decided to go after Jofra Archer. The English speedster has been injured since last year but this did not hamper his value in the mega auction. As Archer is unavailable for the 2022 season, some fans do not like the idea of him being a part of the MI squad. It will be interesting to see who will come in as the second seamer of the side. There is no doubt that Jasprit Bumrah will be the face of the bowling attack. But, there needs to be someone who can assist him perfectly. Even though MI looks a bit weak on paper, they can make a great team out of the limited resources they have. Hence, for MI fans, there is no need to worry. The Windies all-rounder has been a regular member of the national side. But, when it comes to the IPL, he has not received enough chances to prove himself. In four IPL games, Allen has picked up a single wicket and has given away 90 runs. Even though the economy rate is understandable, he could have performed much better. This is because, in T20Is, Allen has a decent economy rate of 7.44. With the bat, Allen has a strike rate of 136.92. This clearly shows his ability to accelerate the innings when required. Hopefully, Rohit Sharma will utilize his talent wisely. 4. Daniel Sams Daniel Sams. Adding on, he has been a part of the Australian limited-overs side for quite some time. Being a major figure in the BBL, Sams has the experience of playing big games. This will surely help the new members of the side. Along with Bumrah, he can be effective at the death. Sams has the experience of playing five IPL games. Even though the numbers are not quite impressive, he can improve a lot if given proper chance. For him, MI is the best side to play for, as they do utilize their resources wisely. 3. And hence, his pace will surely assist Bumrah during the IPL. Meredith has played five IPL games for Punjab. With four wickets to his name, he has been underutilized. Hence, he can grow as a player under an excellent captain like Rohit Sharma. There is no doubt that he has a high economy rate. But, his pace can unsettle the batter and create pressure from one end. Even after a series of impressive performances, he used to miss out on a national call. However, he is a domestic cricket giant and continues to put up commendable performances. For India, he has played 10 T20Is and has picked 14 wickets. With the best bowling figures of 3/38, he has shown that he can be a decent contributor if given proper chances. It will be interesting to see how MI uses him. In IPL, he has played 86 games so far and has picked 85 wickets. With the best bowling figure of 5/25, he has been effective for every franchise he has played so far. Adding on, he has picked two five-wicket hauls in the IPL. 1. Tymal Mills Tymal Mills. Even though he has not been a regular member of any side, he can be a lethal bowler. In domestic cricket, Mills has been impressive in every format. Talking about his T20 stats, in 12 T20Is, he has picked 11 wickets. He has a decent economy of 8.14 and has the best bowling figures of 3/27. Apart from that, Mills can bowl at any stage of the game.
