3. Yashasvi Jaiswal
In RR’s ongoing successful campaign, Yashasvi Jaiswal has experienced a bittersweet 2022 season. The southpaw, as a retained player, initially started the tournament by opening at the top. However, his malfunction in the first three games immediately benched him for most of the competition.
Particularly at the start, the youngster registered two single-digit scores that apparently got him dropped. To replace him Rajasthan initially tried persisting with Karun Nair but the batter barely contributed much. In between, NZ’s Daryl Mitchell also made an appearance in two games. But as it seemed like RR slightly losing track, the management reinstated Jaiswal against PBKS in the 11th game.
In response to his comeback call, the 20-year old magnificently scored a match-winning 68 runs. Also more importantly, in his last four matches, Jaiswal has been amassing runs at an average of almost 47. Overall, with Buttler getting modest with his runs tally having Jaiswal as an emerging match winner is a big boon. Hopefully, the cricketer has also saved his best for the upcoming knockout stages.
