IPL 2022: 5 reasons why RCB can lift their maiden IPL title this year
RCB has made a good start to IPL 2022, winning three out of four games.
2. Quality bowling attack
RCB has a better bowling attack in IPL 2022 when compared to the last couple of seasons. Along with Harshal Patel and Mohammed Siraj, young Akash Deep has stepped up to the task. He has repaid the trust shown by the management. The youngster from Bengal was spectacular against Mumbai Indians, returning with figures of 1/20 in his four overs.
They also have overseas pace options in David Willey and Josh Hazlewood. While Hazlewood is yet to join the squad, his addition will only make this bowling attack better. He was an integral part of Chennai Super Kings last season, picking up 11 wickets in nine matches.
Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga has been assigned the duty to lead the spin attack and he has passed with flying colours so far. He has already scalped eight wickets in four games at an average of 15. They also have the left-arm spin of Shahbaz Ahmed in their armoury.
Faf du Plessis and Co. also has the experience of Siddharth Kaul, Jason Behrendroff and Karn Sharma on the bench to come in as and when necessary.
