Players like Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, and Yuzvendra Chahal have all risen from the IPL to become stars of the Indian cricket team.
5. Mohsin Khan
After warming the bench for three seasons with the Mumbai Indians, Mohsin Khan made his IPL debut for the Lucknow Super Giants. The franchise bought his services at a base price of INR 20 lakhs at the 2022 mega auction. In the debut game against Gujarat Titans, the left-arm medium pacer took the IPL 2022 by storm with his tight economical bowling where he gave up just 18 runs and picked up one wicket in his quota of four overs.
The 23-year-old has impressed everyone with his back-to-back consistent performances and has played a vital role in the team’s success ever since he played. Mohsin has consistently bowled tight lines and has not allowed the batsman to freely play their shots against him. Along with picking wickets, the young pacer has also been very economical with the ball.
The Uttar Pradesh-born cricketer has featured in eight league matches and managed to pick up 13 wickets at an impressive economy rate of 5.93. His best performance came against the Delhi Capitals, where he recorded figures of 4/16 and for his brilliant spell the speedster was awarded the Player of the Match. The pacer also managed to give some crucial breakthroughs for his team in crucial situations, which made him the standout performer in just limited appearances. Keeping that in mind, Mohsin will definitely be seen in LSG’s scheme of things for IPL 2023.
