Now only two matches are remaining for each team. This season has turned out to be so competitive that other than Gujarat, no other team has still confirmed their spot in the top four.

Even now, seven teams are still in contention for the remaining three spots in the playoffs. This season has had a great share of newcomers making it big in the absence of senior players either due to their form or injury. Indian youngsters have especially marked their territory while going full out.

Four-time champions Chennai is out of the playoffs race after losing to five-time champions Mumbai Indians in their previous match. But all his knocks have come in situations where the team needed a foundation to build a score upon. Gujarat Titans&#8217; reliance on Shubman is not just limited to his opening role but the way he contributes in the field as well.

He will be one of the best fielders for India in the upcoming years. The effort he has been putting in the field testifies to it. This week, Gill played a slow and steady knock in Pune to help GT put up a defendable target of 144 runs. He scored an unbeaten 63 off 49 balls which eventually ended up in a winning cause.

His knock did not have a single six but he managed to hit seven fours and stood like a pillar at one end for GT. The bowling department of GT ensured this win by plundering LSG on 82 runs in 13.5 overs. With this win against Lucknow Super Giants, Gujarat Titans became the first team to qualify for the playoffs and are still at the top of the points table.

2. Yashasvi Jaiswal (RR)

One of the retained players of Rajasthan Royals, <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/so-happy-to-see-him-get-runs-yashasvi-jaiswals-68-and-shimron-hetmyers-finishing-skills-take-rr-home-vs-pbks/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yashasvi Jaiswal</a> did not get enough chances this season. Even when he was in the playing XI, he failed to deliver up the order. This week was good for the young opener as well.

Jaiswal scored a 41 ball 68 run knock with a strike rate of over 165 while chasing a target of 190 runs against Punjab. His crucial knock as an opener made it easier for RR to register an important victory at this time of the tournament. He was the highest run-getter in that match and got full support from the middle order as well.

Another match against the Delhi Capitals was not a win but a lesson for RR. Jaiswal scored 19 off 19 while setting up a target of 161 for DC, the bowling unit of RR failed miserably. They were unable to defend a 161-run target and lost by eight wickets to DC.

3. Devdutt Padikkal (RR)

Devdutt’s form this season has not helped the youngster well. With an average of 24.58 this season, Devdutt is still struggling to find his way back with the bat. But the last three matches have been better for him as he is entering the double digits easily now.

Earlier against Punjab, in a chase of 190, he scored 31 runs off 32 deliveries. It was a slow knock as compared to the target but he balanced it out in the middle. He gave an assist with three boundaries and defended his wicket well.

He has been consistently scoring runs for RCB when pillars like Virat Kohli are falling early. Rajat scored 48 runs off 38 deliveries against SRH.

His knock played a massive role while putting up a target of 193 runs for Hyderabad. RCB’s bowling later took the charge and bundled out SRH for 125 runs in 19.2 overs, giving RCB a 67 runs victory. Also, against Punjab, he was effective again.

Patidar scored 26 runs off 21 balls before falling to Rahul Chahar. While he was on the field, his two sixes and a four kept RCB alive in the match while others failed. RCB lost to Punjab by 54 runs but is still in contention for playoffs qualification.

Although he failed to score in the match against KKR where Kolkata thrashed Mumbai with a 52 runs defeat. In another low-scoring game between the two most successful teams of IPL, CSK and MI, he stood firm on his ground. MI had bundled out CSK on 97 runs.

He is the kind of all-rounder that will keep bowlers and batters simultaneously in check. Ashwin did not bat against Punjab earlier this week but bowled all his four overs.

He took the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan where only a total of five wickets fell. In another match against Delhi, he scored a crucial half-century. His 50-off 38 anchored the innings for Rajasthan to put up a total of 160 on the board.

Khan’s lethal bowling trapped Nitish Rana and Anukul Roy. He also picked up the most crucial wicket of Andre Russell when the Caribbean was looking dangerous batting at a strike rate of over 230. Khan gave away only 19 runs in the three overs that he bowled.

In the match against Gujarat, Avesh again emerged as the most successful bowler for LSG. He picked up two wickets by dismissing Wade and Pandya respectively. He also took an incredible catch of Saha on Mohsin Khan’s bowling. His two sixes also flattered his teammates while chasing where LSG eventually lost by 62 runs.

Debutant <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2022-virat-kohli-catches-up-with-mukesh-choudhary-after-being-dismissed-by-him-in-csk-vs-rcb-clash/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mukesh Choudhary</a> has emerged as one of the finest Indian bowlers this season, especially for CSK. He is continuously taking wickets at regular intervals in almost every match. With the guidance of MS, Mukesh is also delivering in line with Dhoni’s instructions.

Now only two matches are remaining for each team. This season has turned out to be so competitive that other than Gujarat, no other team has still confirmed their spot in the top four.
Even now, seven teams are still in contention for the remaining three spots in the playoffs. This season has had a great share of newcomers making it big in the absence of senior players either due to their form or injury. Indian youngsters have especially marked their territory while going full out.
In the seventh week as well, we saw some major upsets and high-scoring games turn into low-scoring chases. Four-time champions Chennai is out of the playoffs race after losing to five-time champions Mumbai Indians in their previous match. But all his knocks have come in situations where the team needed a foundation to build a score upon. Gujarat Titans&#8217; reliance on Shubman is not just limited to his opening role but the way he contributes in the field as well.
He will be one of the best fielders for India in the upcoming years. The effort he has been putting in the field testifies to it. This week, Gill played a slow and steady knock in Pune to help GT put up a defendable target of 144 runs. He scored an unbeaten 63 off 49 balls which eventually ended up in a winning cause. 
His knock did not have a single six but he managed to hit seven fours and stood like a pillar at one end for GT. The bowling department of GT ensured this win by plundering LSG on 82 runs in 13.5 overs. With this win against Lucknow Super Giants, Gujarat Titans became the first team to qualify for the playoffs and are still at the top of the points table.

<h3>2. Yashasvi Jaiswal (RR)</h3>

One of the retained players of Rajasthan Royals, <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/so-happy-to-see-him-get-runs-yashasvi-jaiswals-68-and-shimron-hetmyers-finishing-skills-take-rr-home-vs-pbks/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yashasvi Jaiswal</a> did not get enough chances this season. Even when he was in the playing XI, he failed to deliver up the order. This week was good for the young opener as well. 
Jaiswal scored a 41 ball 68 run knock with a strike rate of over 165 while chasing a target of 190 runs against Punjab. His crucial knock as an opener made it easier for RR to register an important victory at this time of the tournament. He was the highest run-getter in that match and got full support from the middle order as well.
Another match against the Delhi Capitals was not a win but a lesson for RR. Jaiswal scored 19 off 19 while setting up a target of 161 for DC, the bowling unit of RR failed miserably. They were unable to defend a 161-run target and lost by eight wickets to DC.

<h3>3. Devdutt Padikkal (RR)</h3>

Devdutt’s form this season has not helped the youngster well. With an average of 24.58 this season, Devdutt is still struggling to find his way back with the bat. But the last three matches have been better for him as he is entering the double digits easily now.
Earlier against Punjab, in a chase of 190, he scored 31 runs off 32 deliveries. It was a slow knock as compared to the target but he balanced it out in the middle. He gave an assist with three boundaries and defended his wicket well.

He has been consistently scoring runs for RCB when pillars like Virat Kohli are falling early. Rajat scored 48 runs off 38 deliveries against SRH. 
His knock played a massive role while putting up a target of 193 runs for Hyderabad. RCB’s bowling later took the charge and bundled out SRH for 125 runs in 19.2 overs, giving RCB a 67 runs victory. Also, against Punjab, he was effective again.
Patidar scored 26 runs off 21 balls before falling to Rahul Chahar. While he was on the field, his two sixes and a four kept RCB alive in the match while others failed. RCB lost to Punjab by 54 runs but is still in contention for playoffs qualification.

He has scored a total of 368 runs in 12 innings for Mumbai Indians. With his continuous improvement in performance, seniors are lauding him inside Mumbai’s boot camp as well as outside it.
Although he failed to score in the match against KKR where Kolkata thrashed Mumbai with a 52 runs defeat. In another low-scoring game between the two most successful teams of IPL, CSK and MI, he stood firm on his ground. MI had bundled out CSK on 97 runs.

Debutant <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2022-virat-kohli-catches-up-with-mukesh-choudhary-after-being-dismissed-by-him-in-csk-vs-rcb-clash/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mukesh Choudhary</a> has emerged as one of the finest Indian bowlers this season, especially for CSK. He is continuously taking wickets at regular intervals in almost every match. With the guidance of MS, Mukesh is also delivering in line with Dhoni’s instructions.
While bowling against Delhi, the pacer made sure to bowl full-length deliveries. He picked up two wickets in the three overs that he bowled and gave away just 22 runs. With the help of his performance, CSK bowled out Delhi at 117 runs itself in 17.4 overs.
In the low-scoring match against Mumbai, he bowled an incredible opening spell. Mukesh gave away only 23 runs in his four overs and picked up three wickets including Ishan Kishan and Daniel Sams. Mumbai won that match very easily but Mukesh’s fight out in the field left a great impact.
