Sunrisers Hyderabad was seen having a clear strategy for the 2022 IPL auction. They started their auction at a very slow rate. The flamboyant opening batter from Maharashtra has played some quality knocks in the previous seasons of the league. He is likely to open the batting for the franchise in the 2022 season. The lad has been one of the under-rated batters in the tournament. He started his IPL career with Rising Pune Supergiants under MS Dhoni.

The batter then moved to Rajasthan Royals and then to Kolkata Knight Riders. The franchise bought him for 8.50 CR after a long bidding war with Kolkata Knight Riders. Tripathi has played 62 games in the cash-rich league and has scored 1385 runs. He was an important bloke in KKR’s middle-order for the last few seasons.
