Chennai Super Kings have unveiled their new jersey for the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which gets underway on March 26. The franchise made the announcement through their social media handles on Wednesday (March 23). In a video shared by the franchise, the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni can be seen flaunting the new jersey in an energetic video.
There aren’t many significant changes in the design as yellow continues to be the kit’s primary colour. For a change, however, stripes of camouflage are also in the collar alongside the shoulder area. The new jersey also sees the logo of CSK’s new title sponsors TVS Eurogrip Tyres framed in the middle. Indian Cements and Gulf Engine Oil are the other sponsors to be placed in the kit.

CSK eyeing their fifth IPL title
Notably, CSK have made the least changes in their jersey in comparison of other teams since the inception of IPL. The same has been the case with their squad as well. CSK aren’t known to make too many changes in their team and try to retain their core. Having won the title last season, the defending champions will fight for their fifth trophy in IPL 2022.
For the unversed, CSK will kick-start their campaign against last season’s runners-up Kolkata Knight Riders in the season opener. While the side has reaccuqired services of many players in the mega auction, they had to let go the likes of Faf du Plessis, Shardul Thakur and Josh Hazlewood. At the same time, however, the four-time champions have roped in the likes of Devon Conway and Chris Jordan.
CSK squad for IPL 2022: MS Dhoni (c), Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Robin Uthappa, Dwayne Bravo, Ambati Rayudu, Deepak Chahar, KM Asif, Tushar Deshpande, Shivam Dube, Maheesh Theekshana, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Simarjeet Singh, Devon Conway, Dwaine Pretorius, Mitchell Santner, Adam Milne, Subhranshu Senapati, Mukesh Choudhary, Prashant Solanki, C Hari Nishaanth, N Jagadeesan, Chris Jordan, K Bhagath Varma.
