The current world champions found multiple bidders during the mega auction this time. With so many Aussies going under the hammer, few teams went after the likes of David Warner and co. This time, the Australians collectively went for INR 58.90 crores, becoming the third-highest gainers in the mega auction.

As David Warner went to Delhi Capitals, it was a perfect homecoming for the southpaw. Now, with Prithvi Shaw in the frame, they form one of the most dangerous opening combinations in the league. It will be interesting to see how both of them approach the innings.

Talking about other players, Mitchell Marsh found a home in DC as well. Adding on, proven performers like Matthew Wade were sold as well. But, a few well-known faces like Steven Smith went unsold, which was a bit surprising.
