Legendary skipper MS Dhoni turned back the clock on May 1 while he walked once again for the toss with Kane Williamson after assuming CSK’s captaincy in the latest turn. After Ravindra Jadeja relinquished the captaincy role, the all-time great took over the charge in the larger interest of the team and it was no surprise that the crowd went berserk while seeing Dhoni lead the Yellow Army yet again.
He is one of the most loved figures in the cricket world and SRH bowling coach Dale Steyn’s gesture proved the same. Following the match between the two sides, Steyn walked up to take Dhoni’s autograph on a T-shirt and the picture of the same started doing rounds on the internet in no time.

You will definitely see me in the yellow jersey next year: MS Dhoni
The Ranchi stalwart received a rousing reception in Pune at the toss time when he came up for a chat and at the same time, he hinted that he would be seen in the yellow jersey in the future too. However, the master of wit, also ended his statement with suspense while adding – “You will definitely see me in the yellow jersey [next year], whether this yellow jersey or some other yellow jersey, that’s a different thing.”
Talking of the match between CSK and SRH, it surely felt like the beloved skipper of CSK changed their fortunes right from the very first game. As soon as the 40-year-old was back at the helm of affairs, the four-time champions operated on a different level. While being put to bat first, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway went crazy to register an opening partnership of massive 182 runs. Seeing the flying start, it was a no-brainer that they were set to post a huge total and ended their innings on 202 runs.
SRH remained 13 runs short of the target and Gaikwad (99 off 57) was declared as the Player of the Match for his crazy hitting from the word go but remained one run shy of his well-deserved ton.
