The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 has started with some excellent cricket being played after one week of action. Delhi Capitals batter Tim Seifert grabbed the limelight in the franchise’s first game against the five-time champions Mumbai Indians. The Kiwi batter took a blinder of a catch to dismiss the hard-hitting batter Kieron Pollard.
After winning their first encounter, the Capitals will now take on Gujarat Titans in their second match to be played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune on April 2 (Saturday). Ahead of the evening game, Seifert was seen being taught a new dance step by his teammates.
‘Seifert ki battery charge rehndi hai’ – DC wrote on their Instagram handle
The Capitals on Saturday shared a video on their social media handle and in the small clip, the wicketkeeper-batter can be seen learning the “bulb utaaro” step from the movie ‘Vicky Donor’ starring Ayushman Khurrana.
“Seifert ki battery charge rehndi hai. His DC Induction is now complete,” wrote Delhi Capitals as the caption.

In the video, allrounder Axar Patel can be seen teaching the Kiwi batter the dance step from ‘Vicky Donor’ while Kuldeep Yadav looks on.
Talking about Seifert numbers in T20 matches, the 27-year-old has represented New Zealand in 40 matches in which he has scored 753 runs at an average of 23.53. The right-handed batter plays with a decent strike rate of almost 130. He was purchased by the Capitals at IPL 2022 mega auction at a price of INR 50 lakh, which was his base price.
Delhi Capitals managed to pip the five-time champions Mumbai Indians by four wickets in their first match of IPL 2022. The Capitals had lost their top batting order while chasing 178, but Axar and Lalit Yadav kept their nerves and took their side over the victory line.
The Kiwi batter Seifert also played a key role, scoring 21 runs off just 14 balls and smashing four fours in his short innings. Delhi Capitals will now look to keep their winning momentum going and would like to defeat their opponents Gujrat Titans in the next encounter.
