New Zealand and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Devon Conway recently shook a leg on ‘Arabic Kuthu’ with his teammates N Jagadeesan and C Hari Nishaanth. The three were seen dancing to the tunes of Tamil actor Vijay’s latest movie Beast’s song and were also seen sporting the traditional dhoti.

CSK shared a video on their social media, captioning it, “It’s #Arabickuthu time for the Kiwi and Kovai, with the Kiwi denoting the New Zealander and Kovai denoting the Coimbatore boys.” While CSK bought back Jagadeesan and Nishaanth, they also purchased Conway for INR 1 crore in the IPL 2022 auction. Conway played the first league opener for CSK, against KKR, opening for the side along with Ruturaj Gaikwad.

CSK has only one win in five games played so far

Speaking of the team’s performance this season, Ravindra Jadeja finally won his first match as captain when CSK defeated the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their fifth game of the tournament. CSK had lost the first four games of the season and finally broke their losing streak.

The one win against RCB was a huge one for the Yellow Army as they posted a humongous total of 216 runs, the highest score of this edition of the cash-rich event. RCB tried their level best but failed to chase as CSK got the much-needed breakthrough.

Top efforts from opener Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dube helped CSK build a strong partnership while batting first. It was followed by Maheesh Theekshana’s four-for and skipper Jadeja’s three-wicket haul while defending that helped the team restrict the in-form RCB.

CSK are placed ninth in the points table, with just two points to their name. They will now be eyeing to grab two more points when they face the Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans in their next contest on 17th April at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
