IPL 2022: Dewald Brevis and Tilak Varma engage in a hilarious banter ahead of their game against LSG

Mumbai Indians star youngsters Dewald Brevis and Tilak Varma indulged in a fun banter in the recent episode of MI Daily. The two players have been doing really well, even though their side has lost five matches in the tournament and remains winless. The skills displayed by the two in their debut IPL season have been commendable.

The young guns have showcased some terrific performances for their side, and it seems like they’ve formed a good friendship as well. In a video shared by Mumbai Indians on their YouTube channel, Brevis is seen calling Varma and asking him why he was not present in the team room on time. What followed later was even more hilarious as the two did not leave any opportunity to pull each other’s legs.

The video started with Suryakumar Yadav attending the press conference, which was followed by Brevis calling Varma telling him he had to be in the team room at 11 am and that he was going to be late. When Varma arrived, he told Brevis that he had been waiting for him at the breakfast table, and it was not fair on his end to be late at breakfast.

Calling himself loyal, Varma dropped a bomb on Brevis saying he wasn’t like him who promised to come and then did not show up. Varma funnily started scolding Brevis for not having breakfast on time and scolded him to have it before 11 and follow the schedule. The two then enjoyed a game of table tennis before going for the warm-up game.

Both Brevis and Varma are doing well in IPL 2022

Brevis, before coming into the IPL, had big shoes to fill in. He is fondly known as Baby AB because his style is similar to that of South African legend AB de Villiers. He proved to one and all, with his batting skills, why he got the name Baby AB, and it was visible how much he idolizes De Villiers. In the previous game against Punjab Kings, he fell short of just one run to get his maiden IPL fifty.

Varma has also been a prolific all-rounder for the team. His batting skills have been just brilliant, and his ability to handle pressure at such a young age is commendable. While the two will keep contributing to their team significantly, Rohit Sharma will look forward to bagging the first points for the team in their next assignment.
