The big man from Trinidad is having probably his worst season in the IPL. He was retained by the five-time champions Mumbai Indians but has failed to live up to the expectations with both bat and ball in the ongoing 15th edition of the cash-rich league.

The West Indian has managed to score only 129 runs off 10 innings with the highest score of 25 in IPL 2022. Pollard has batted at an average of 14.33 and a strike rate of 109.32. This is not the Pollard whom we know and he has looked miles away from his usual best.

In the sixth week of IPL 2022, the Mumbai franchise played two games. Pollard scored 10 runs off 14 balls and four off 14 respectively against Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans respectively. With Mumbai reeling at the bottom of the points table, the management will hope the veteran all-rounder hits the form in the remaining games.
