The premier Indian all-rounder started the season as the captain of the mighty Chennai Super Kings. However, he decided to step down from captaincy and give it back to MS Dhoni in the middle of the ongoing season. The additional responsibilities had an impact on his personal game. He has been promoted in the batting order but has not delivered much.

The southpaw has scored just 116 runs off 10 innings at an average of 19.33 this season with the best score of 26. As per his bowling is concerned, he has been able to pick only five wickets at a poor bowling average of 49.6.

The yellow brigade played only one game this week against Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB batted first and scored 173 off 20 overs. Jaddu came to bat at No.6 and played just five balls scoring just three runs. With the ball, he was economical but remained wicketless.
