This sixth week was a blockbuster, we saw some amazing things happening in the last seven days, including Liam Livingstone&#8217;s humongous 117 m six while Umran Malik became the first Indian to clock 157 km/h delivery.

The newest IPL franchise Gujarat Titans are still at the top of the points table and the five-time champion Mumbai Indians became the first team to get knocked out of the race to the playoffs. Jos Butler is currently the owner of the Orange Cap while the Purple Cap is with Yuzvendra Chahal. A lot of twists and turns are expected to happen with the competition getting intense.

IPL 2022 has reached the business end of the tournament and many players are still not able to perform despite having big reputations. Almost every franchise has two or three such players who were expected to be the match-winners, but they are having a season to forget. The competition has been extraordinary this season. On that note, let&#8217;s take a look at the flop XI from the sixth week of the tournament.

The stylish southpaw has been in and out of form throughout this season. After impressing everyone with the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Padikkal is now an important block for the Rajasthan Royals. He was being sent at number three and four during the initial few games of the season but as the season progressed, he got to bat at his favourite batting position.

The Jaipur-based franchise took on the Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday, in which Padikkal got out in the third over of the game, scoring two off just five balls. The southpaw has played all ten games for RR this season so far and has scored 216 runs at an average of 21.6. Despite batting in 1o innings, he has managed just a single 50+ score.

The pocket-size dynamo, who is considered a fearless striker of the cricket ball, has rarely shown form this season. Prithvi has played some amazing knocks for Delhi Capitals in his short IPL career. The DC fans will want the batter to get back to form and win games for the Delhi franchise as they need to win every game from here to give themselves the best chance of making it to the IPL 2022 playoffs.

Prithvi featured only in one game for Delhi Capitals this week against Lucknow Supergiants. LSG batted first and gave DC a challenging target of 196 in 20 overs. Chameera bowled short of length outside off and trapped the right-hander at mid-on.

The youngster from Mumbai, who was retained by the Capitals, is not having a tournament to remember. He has played nine games for DC this season scoring 259 runs at an average of 28.78. He has scored two fifties, but consistency has been a big issue for the youngster.

The aggressive batter from Punjab has been playing IPL since 2010 still he is yet to prove his mettle in the toughest cricket tournament all over the globe. Mandeep has played 108 IPL games in his career scoring 1692 runs at an average of 21.42 and a strike rate of 124.32. Despite playing 95 IPL inning, he has managed to score only six fifties.

The right-hander was bought by the Delhi Capitals in the 2022 IPL mega auction. However, he failed to justify his selection whenever he got a chance to play in the XI. He has played three games this season and got out for a duck twice. Mandeep made 18 in one game that too at a poor strike rate. He definitely will have to level up his game to stay in DC’s playing XI this season.

Mandy got a chance to open the innings for DC in their game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He got out in the first over of the game by Bhuvneshwar Kumar for a duck off five balls. The English white-ball star Jonny Bairstow has not been in touch in IPL 2022. With his big reputation, Punjab Kings (PBKS) were seeing a match-winner in him. However, he has not executed any impactful knock this season so far and has copped a lot of criticism.

Punjab Kings played only one game this week against the table-toppers Gujarat Titans. The Aussie all-rounder was one of the three-draft picks by the brand Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). His performances have been completely contrasting to his reputation. He has had terrible outings this year for LSG. With the tournament moving into its business end, KL Rahul and Co. will definitely want Marcus Stones to show some form.

LSG played against DC as their single game of the sixth week of IPL 2022. LSG batted first and had an amazing partnership for the second wicket between KL Rahul and <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/krunal-pandya-is-like-my-brother-and-brothers-do-fight-deepak-hooda/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Deepak Hooda</a>. Everyone thought that LSG will finish with a 220+ score but Stoinis looked a bit out of touch and scored just 17 off 16 balls with a strike rate of 106.25.

The Perth cricketer has had a poor season with both bat and ball. As of now, he has played six games this season scoring just 90 runs at an average of 22.5. He was expected to chip in with some overs in the middle, but he has bowled with an economy rate of 10.25 runs per over. He has been very expensive with only a single dismissal in this season to his name.

The big man from Trinidad is having probably his worst season in the IPL. He was retained by the five-time champions Mumbai Indians but has failed to live up to the expectations with both bat and ball in the ongoing 15th edition of the cash-rich league.

The West Indian has managed to score only 129 runs off 10 innings with the highest score of 25 in IPL 2022. Pollard has batted at an average of 14.33 and a strike rate of 109.32. This is not the Pollard whom we know and he has looked miles away from his usual best.

In the sixth week of IPL 2022, the Mumbai franchise played two games. The premier Indian all-rounder started the season as the captain of the mighty Chennai Super Kings. However, he decided to step down from <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2022-ravindra-jadeja-relinquishes-csk-captaincy-ms-dhoni-to-lead-again/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">captaincy</a> and give it back to MS Dhoni in the middle of the ongoing season. The additional responsibilities had an impact on his personal game. He has been promoted in the batting order but has not delivered much.

The southpaw has scored just 116 runs off 10 innings at an average of 19.33 this season with the best score of 26. As per his bowling is concerned, he has been able to pick only five wickets at a poor bowling average of 49.6.

The yellow brigade played only one game this week against Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB batted first and scored 173 off 20 overs. Jaddu came to bat at No.6 and played just five balls scoring just three runs. With the ball, he was economical but remained wicketless.

The talented leg-spinner, who was even preferred ahead of <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/you-have-to-bring-kulcha-back-harbhajan-singh-bats-for-yuzvendra-chahal-and-kuldeep-yadavs-inclusion-in-indias-t20-wc-squad/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yuzvendra Chahal</a> and Kuldeep Yadav in India’s 2021 T20 World Cup squad, has been in and out of form in IPL 2022. The Punjab Kings management was very happy when they successfully bought Rahul at the mega 2022 IPL auction.

The 22-years-old did well for Mumbai Indians and was an important member of the side. He has played 52 IPL games till now picking 55 wickets at a bowling average of 25.13. He has bowled some exceptional spells in IPL. His good performances in IPL made way for him to get India’s debut cap in 2019. He has played six T20Is for India.

However, Chahar has not been able to pick wickets during the middle-overs in IPL 2022. He has played 10 IPL games this year picking only 12 wickets. His economy rate is fine, but he is in the team to pick wickets. PBKS played only one game this week in which Rahul got injured and was able to bowl only nine balls in the game.

Mohammed Shami is a senior member of India’s pace unit. He has been around top-level cricket for a while. Shami has been playing IPL since 2013. He has played 88 IPL matches picking 94 wickets at a bowling average of 29.44. He is a master of seam bowling and was one of the most expensive picks of Gujarat Titans at the IPL 2022 mega auction.

The Bengal pacer is doing well in IPL 2022, but his economy rate has been a big issue for him. He is getting hit for too many runs which is a strange thing as Shami is considered an economical bowler. Shami has conceded at an economy rate of more than 10 runs per over in the 12 overs he has bowled in the three games Gujarat played this week.

Besides, his inability to pick up wickets in the last few games has been a concern for the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/you-might-come-to-us-next-year-hardik-pandya-wishes-to-have-kieron-pollard-in-gt-for-ipl-2023/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hardik Pandya</a>-led franchise. The veteran pacer needs to hit the straps as the race for a top-two finish gets intense.

The speed gun from New Zealand with some extra pace in his armoury has been quite expensive this season. Ferguson’s story is not too different from that of Shami. Both have been doing well in this tournament but their economy rate has been a big issue for them.

He got just three wickets this week. His inability to pick up wickets has been one of the major reasons behind Gujarat&#8217;s back-to-back defeats.

He has had terrible outings this year for LSG. With the tournament moving into its business end, KL Rahul and Co. will definitely want Marcus Stones to show some form.
LSG played against DC as their single game of the sixth week of IPL 2022. LSG batted first and had an amazing partnership for the second wicket between KL Rahul and <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/krunal-pandya-is-like-my-brother-and-brothers-do-fight-deepak-hooda/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Deepak Hooda</a>. Everyone thought that LSG will finish with a 220+ score but Stoinis looked a bit out of touch and scored just 17 off 16 balls with a strike rate of 106.25.
The Perth cricketer has had a poor season with both bat and ball. As of now, he has played six games this season scoring just 90 runs at an average of 22.5. He was expected to chip in with some overs in the middle, but he has bowled with an economy rate of 10.25 runs per over. He has been very expensive with only a single dismissal in this season to his name.

The big man from Trinidad is having probably his worst season in the IPL. He was retained by the five-time champions Mumbai Indians but has failed to live up to the expectations with both bat and ball in the ongoing 15th edition of the cash-rich league.
The West Indian has managed to score only 129 runs off 10 innings with the highest score of 25 in IPL 2022. Pollard has batted at an average of 14.33 and a strike rate of 109.32. This is not the Pollard whom we know and he has looked miles away from his usual best.
In the sixth week of IPL 2022, the Mumbai franchise played two games. Pollard scored 10 runs off 14 balls and four off 14 respectively against <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2022-match-52-predicted-rajasthan-royals-playing-xi-vs-punjab-kings/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rajasthan Royals </a>and Gujarat Titans respectively. With Mumbai reeling at the bottom of the points table, the management will hope the veteran all-rounder hits the form in the remaining games.

<h3>7. Ravindra Jadeja</h3>

The premier Indian all-rounder started the season as the captain of the mighty Chennai Super Kings. However, he decided to step down from <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2022-ravindra-jadeja-relinquishes-csk-captaincy-ms-dhoni-to-lead-again/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">captaincy</a> and give it back to MS Dhoni in the middle of the ongoing season. The additional responsibilities had an impact on his personal game. He has been promoted in the batting order but has not delivered much.
The southpaw has scored just 116 runs off 10 innings at an average of 19.33 this season with the best score of 26. As per his bowling is concerned, he has been able to pick only five wickets at a poor bowling average of 49.6.
The yellow brigade played only one game this week against Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB batted first and scored 173 off 20 overs. Jaddu came to bat at No.6 and played just five balls scoring just three runs. With the ball, he was economical but remained wicketless.

<h3>8. Rahul Chahar</h3>

The talented leg-spinner, who was even preferred ahead of <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/you-have-to-bring-kulcha-back-harbhajan-singh-bats-for-yuzvendra-chahal-and-kuldeep-yadavs-inclusion-in-indias-t20-wc-squad/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yuzvendra Chahal</a> and Kuldeep Yadav in India’s 2021 T20 World Cup squad, has been in and out of form in IPL 2022. The Punjab Kings management was very happy when they successfully bought Rahul at the mega 2022 IPL auction.
The 22-years-old did well for Mumbai Indians and was an important member of the side. He has played 52 IPL games till now picking 55 wickets at a bowling average of 25.13. He has bowled some exceptional spells in IPL. His good performances in IPL made way for him to get India’s debut cap in 2019. He has played six T20Is for India.
However, Chahar has not been able to pick wickets during the middle-overs in IPL 2022. He has played 10 IPL games this year picking only 12 wickets. His economy rate is fine, but he is in the team to pick wickets. PBKS played only one game this week in which Rahul got injured and was able to bowl only nine balls in the game.

<h3>9. Mohammed Shami</h3>

Mohammed Shami is a senior member of India’s pace unit. He has been around top-level cricket for a while. Shami has been playing IPL since 2013. He has played 88 IPL matches picking 94 wickets at a bowling average of 29.44. He is a master of seam bowling and was one of the most expensive picks of Gujarat Titans at the IPL 2022 mega auction.
The Bengal pacer is doing well in IPL 2022, but his economy rate has been a big issue for him. He is getting hit for too many runs which is a strange thing as Shami is considered an economical bowler. Shami has conceded at an economy rate of more than 10 runs per over in the 12 overs he has bowled in the three games Gujarat played this week.
Besides, his inability to pick up wickets in the last few games has been a concern for the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/you-might-come-to-us-next-year-hardik-pandya-wishes-to-have-kieron-pollard-in-gt-for-ipl-2023/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hardik Pandya</a>-led franchise. The veteran pacer needs to hit the straps as the race for a top-two finish gets intense.

<h3>10. Lockie Ferguson</h3>

The speed gun from New Zealand with some extra pace in his armoury has been quite expensive this season. Ferguson’s story is not too different from that of Shami. Both have been doing well in this tournament but their economy rate has been a big issue for them.
GT played three games this week against <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2022-girls-proposal-during-rcb-vs-csk-match-garners-limelight/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">RCB</a>, PBKS, and MI in which Ferguson gave 36, 29, and 34 respectively in his quota of four overs respectively. He got just three wickets this week. His inability to pick up wickets has been one of the major reasons behind Gujarat&#8217;s back-to-back defeats.
In IPL 2022, he has got 12 wickets in 11 games at a bowling average of 32.0. He has bowled with an economy rate of nearly nine this season. You simply can’t be that expensive while bowling in a tournament like IPL.

<h3>11. Umran Malik</h3>

Umran Malik may have impressed everyone with his sheer pace and aggressive bowling but he has been way too expensive and this is a fact. His pace which used to be his friend is becoming one of his most dangerous enemies. He is young and will hopefully learn many things. Let’s see if he works on his economy in the upcoming games or not.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have played two games this week. On Sunday first of May, SRH took on CSK in which <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/tears-were-coming-out-of-his-eyes-michael-hussey-recalls-seeing-ms-dhoni-get-emotional-on-csks-comeback-in-2018/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MS Dhoni</a> and Co. batted first and gave SRH a target of 203. Umran was very expensive, giving 48 runs in his spell and remained wicketless. The CSK batters found his pace easy to play as they were looking to just time his balls.
It was the same story in their next game against Delhi Capitals. Umran went for 52 runs in his four overs as they posted 207 runs on the board. This was the same game in which he bowled the fastest ever ball bowled by an Indian in IPL.
