IPL 2022: Left-arm Jasprit Bumrah hits bull's eye during MI's practice session
Jasprit Bumrah has only managed five wickets in IPL 2022.
Mumbai Indians have had a season to forget in the ongoing IPL 2022 as they continue to languish at the bottom of the points table, having lost all their eight matches. They became the first team to be knocked out of the tournament after a 36-run loss against the Lucknow Super Giants last weekend.
A few members of the five-time champions have also not lived up to the expectations and one of them includes pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah has failed to make the ball do the talking and he would be hoping to make amends in the remaining fixtures. Lately, the premier speedster bowled with his wrong hand but still managed to hit the target.
Jasprit Bumrah hits the stumps in the nets
In a recent video shared by the Mumbai Indians on their official social media handle, Bumrah is seen hitting the stumps while bowling with his left arm during the team’s practice session.

Jasprit Bumrah was one of the mandatory retentions of the Mumbai-based franchise for the ongoing season along with the likes of skipper Rohit Sharma, Caribbean all-rounder Kieron Pollard and India’s limited-overs specialist Suryakumar Yadav. He has so far picked up five scalps from eight outings averaging 45.80 and conceding at an economy rate of 7.54.
MI would be hoping that he rediscovers his rhythm with the ball in the remaining matches and the entire team clicks as a unit as they look forward to ending their campaign in style. More importantly, the former champions would be eager to add the first points to their tally when they meet an in-form Rajasthan Royals in their next match at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on April 30.
Mumbai would be hoping to avenge their reverse fixture loss where they had gone down by 23 runs after they lost the plot during the run chase. RR, on the other hand, would be eager to do the double over MI and they would be pumped up riding on a 29-run win over RCB defending 144.
