The two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are on a roll since they entered the IPL 2022. They are coming off a thumping victory over the Mumbai Indians from their previous game. Pat Cummins registered the joint-fastest fifty in the IPL history as he took the game away in the blink of an eye.

KKR are at the top of the points table, with six points from three wins in the four matches played so far. Shreyas Iyer has led his team very well this time, and he will eye to take his team to their third victory in the league. The team won’t require changes to their side as they have the winning momentum.

Here’s the predicted Playing XI of Kolkata Knight Riders for Match 19 of IPL 2022:

Openers: Ajinkya Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer

The game will see their regular openers Ajinkya Rahane and Venkatesh open. Rahane will have to find his lost form, and perform in the way he played the first game against CSK. On the other hand, Venkatesh has gained a lot of confidence after his remarkable game against the Mumbai Indians. He opened and remained unbeaten, scoring a 41-ball 50.

Middle Order: Shreyas Iyer (c), Sam Billings (wk), Nitish Rana

The middle-order of KKR looks strong on paper. Shreyas Iyer can handle the pressure put on him and can play a composed innings in the game. And when it’s the Delhi Capitals in the opposition, he will be able to strategize really well as he has led the team in the past.

Sam Billings played well against Mumbai and hit a couple of sixes before being dismissed. He can steer the game alongside Nitish Rana, who is a proven match-winner for KKR. Though Rana is yet to find his form, once he does, he can create destruction with the bat.

All-rounders: Andre Russell and Sunil Narine

Andre Russell has performed well so far. His 18-ball 25 against RCB and the 31-ball unbeaten 70 against the PBKS rescued KKR in the game. Russell is known for finishing the game with his boundaries and helping the team put up a big score, or chase down a huge score.

Narine hasn’t batted much in the tournament so far, because the top and middle-order batters manage it all. But he can be as good with the bat, as he is with the ball. He is known for his ability as a finisher and can play a match-winning knock for the team.

Bowlers: Pat Cummins, Umesh Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, Rasikh Salam

After what the world witnessed during the KKR vs MI game, Pat Cummins will be the go-to man for Shreyas Iyer in both the departments. Being mainly a bowler, if he can score the fastest fifty in the league, then he will certainly contribute with the ball. Umesh Yadav will give his team the breakthrough and continue to pick wickets in the powerplay, adding more scalps to his bag and retaining the Purple Cap.

Varun Chakravarthy will, as usual, be the mystery spinner of the team, and will surprise the opposition with his skills. Rasikh Salam’s economy in the previous game was maintained well. He didn’t pick a wicket, but bowled economically.

KKR Predicted XI: Ajinkya Rahane, Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer (c), Sam Billings (wk), Nitish Rana, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Pat Cummins, Umesh Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, Rasikh Salam
