Delhi Capitals (DC) players Mitchell Marsh and Tim Seifert have recovered from COVID-19 and have joined the team fully fit. The two players were isolated after contracting the virus last week. There was a mini outbreak in the Delhi camp with four other members of the camp also getting affected with COVID-19. However, both Marsh and Seifert have completed their quarantine and seem to have tested negative twice according to the rules as they are back in the bio-bubble.
Both players were seen in the training session ahead of Delhi Capitals game against Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday (April 28). The official Twitter handle of the franchise posted the update of the Australian and Kiwi making a comeback and it remains to be seen if Marsh will straightaway walk back into the playing XI.
“We are feeling Good. Great to have you back at the training, boys,” DC’s tweet read as they also posted pictures of both the cricketers. Meanwhile, to limit the outbreak, BCCI also shifted two of DC’s matches to Brabourne Stadium and Wankhede Stadium from MCA Stadium in Pune. The move seemed to have worked wonders as no new COVID cases have been reported since then. However, head coach Ricky Ponting has to isolate himself for five days after one of his family members tested positive. But he has also joined the team now.
Here’s the tweet:
We are feeling GOOD 🥺💙

Delhi Capitals are at 7th position in the points table
Delhi Capitals will certainly be boosted with the return of Mitchell Marsh as they struggled quite a bit in the last few matches. They are currently at the seventh position in the points table with three wins from seven matches and six points to their name. KKR are also struggling at the moment having lost their last four matches and are at the eighth position with only three wins from eight matches.
