7. Lockie Ferguson for Gujarat Titans (INR 10 cr)
Lockie Ferguson is among the top speedsters this season. He has been continuously bowling deliveries around 150 kmph and has also clocked a delivery as high as 153.9 kmph against CSK. Hailing from New Zealand, Lockie caught the eye of the recruiters of Gujarat Titans with the pace, line, and length that he has put up for his national side.
Lockie has rattled up the wickets with his steep yorkers in the death overs. His best figures so far are 4/28. With a total of 11 wickets in ten matches, Lockie is leading the bowling pack for Gujarat Titans along with the experienced Shami. His economy is again on the higher side but still works in creating pressure on the batsmen at times.
His average economy is 8.97 this season, which is not better than his previous stint with the Kolkata Knight Riders in the previous IPL edition. The kiwi comes in handy when his bowling partner, Mohammad Shami needs assistance in the first powerplay. GT is sitting on the top of the points table like a king and their bowling is one of the major factors for the team’s success.
