9. Delhi Capitals (DC) – JSW & GMR Group

In 2008, the Delhi Capitals (formerly Delhi Daredevils) was bought by the multinational conglomerate, GMR Group, which manages Infrastructure, Energy, Airports businesses in the country. Until 2017, the GMR Group was the sole owner of the franchise.

In 2019, JSW Steel, which is one of the giants in the fields of steel, energy, minerals formed a 50:50 joint partnership with GMR Group. The JSW Group have also been the principal sponsor for Delhi Capitals for the last few years. The managing director Parth Jindal has been quite active in supporting the teams at the stadium.

Since 2019, when JSW became the co-owner of Delhi Capitals, they have reached the playoffs each season until 2021, and certainly seem to be the lucky charm for the team.
