IPL 2022: Players from each team who did not get a chance to play this season
Some of these players have performed well in the domestic circuit as well as in the U19 World Cup.
10. Gujarat Titans
The winners in their debut season, Gujarat Titans had a lot to prove. GT was also criticized for being a weak team as it was a squad that was made from scratch. Although a lot of young guns found their place in the playing XI, some still didn’t get a chance.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz, one of the youngsters representing Afghanistan came in as a replacement for Jason Roy but still was unable to get a game this year. Dominic Drakes, a tall fast bowler from West Indies was also unable to find a place in the playing XI.
Gurkeerat Singh Mann has been a part of IPL since 2012 but has been unable to play regularly. He has a total of 511 runs in 41 matches of his IPL career and plays the role of a finisher. In the presence of Rahul Tewatia and David Miller, it became evident that he will be benched as well. Noor Ahmad, a 17-year-old lefty from Afghanistan is yet to make his debut. Jayant Yadav who is famous for his spin got regular games till 2021. He is a senior in the domestic circuit but did not fit in the playing XI this year.
