IPL 2022: Players from each team who did not get a chance to play this season
Some of these players have performed well in the domestic circuit as well as in the U19 World Cup.
3. Delhi Capitals
Delhi Capitals is a team of young lads trying to get their name scripted. Led by Rishabh Pant, DC backs its youngsters pretty well. Even this season, they gave a lot of chances to the new players while experimenting for the right combination.
Ashwin Hebbar is one of the few players who never made it to the playing XI this time. He was Andhra’s leading run-getter in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy and a brilliant right-handed batting alternative. Pravin Dubey got three games in his debut year in 2020, but this time even he was benched for the whole season.
Vickey Ostwal made waves with a brilliant bowling display during India U19’s triumphant World Cup 2022 campaign but still didn’t get a game in this year’s IPL. Lungi Ngidi of South Africa was significantly impactful for CSK in the previous edition but still didn’t get a chance this season to display his effective seam bowling.
