IPL 2022: Predicting where each team will end up on the points table
Defending champions, Chennai Super Kings have had a horrific start to their IPL 2022 campaign.
6) Royal Challengers Bangalore
Royal Challengers Bangalore have had a mixed start to their campaign, with one win and loss each from their two games. Faf du Plessis’ side had both games under their control, but like every season, RCB managed to let the game slip out of the hand against Punjab Kings. One of the worrying areas for the three-time runner-ups remains their batting order. Even with the addition of Glenn Maxwell, the top order looks a bit compromised, given that Virat Kohli has not been at his best in IPL for quite a few seasons now.
RCB’s bowling order looks well-rounded with three frontline pacers and a lead spinner in the form of Wanindu Hasaranga. But, the likes of Mohammed Siraj and David Willey are susceptible to bad days, something which was witnessed in their opener against Punjab Kings. Moreover, the 2016 runner-ups have played all their cards in their playing 11, and they do not have much bench strength.
