4. Punjab Kings – 110 sixes

Although the Punjab side was without Chris Gayle, their all-out attack mentality, paid dividends. But much like Delhi, they lacked consistency and failed to qualify for the playoffs for the 6th time running.

The addition of Liam Livingstone to the squad played a huge role in Punjab’s pursuit of a playoff berth. The Englishman hit the 2nd most number of sixes in IPL 2022 with 34 sixes to his name. He also did the honors of smashing the ball out of the ground for the 1000th six of the tournament. Bhanuka Rajapaksa finished with 13 sixes in nine games.

The ever-so-dependable Shikhar Dhawan bagged 12 sixes this year, and the young Jitesh Sharma, who was in his debut season, impressed with 12 sixes to his name. Shahrukh Khan and Jonny Bairstow grabbed nine sixes apiece. Skipper Mayank Agarwal endured a torrid time with the bat with just six sixes in the competition.
