Before the mega 2022 auction, SRH had only preserved three players from their 2021 squad. Out of them, skipper Kane Williamson was all set to become the premier batter of the team. But presently in IPL 2022, the Kiwi legend’s bat has barely done any work. Surprisingly from his 11 games, Williamson has just assembled 208 runs at an average of less than 20.

However more contrastingly, the other retained batter- Abdul Samad has now been bitterly snubbed. His malfunction only allowed him to play two games scoring mere 4 runs. Barring these two, the third promising retention of Umran Malik has fruitfully done wonders for Hyderabad.

By hounding batters through his express pace, Umran has scalped a total of 18 wickets from his 11 games. But for SRH to qualify, the speedster will have to fire with even further intensity and pace.
