After the completion of this year’s mega auction, Delhi Capitals looked like the force to reckon with as a squad. But, Rishabh Pant disappointed Delhi fans by not leading them into the playoffs this time.

This franchise just managed to win seven matches out of 14 under the leadership of Pant. In the last league match, they just needed a win over the struggling Mumbai Indians but they failed. Rishabh Pant’s decision of not taking a review against Mumbai’s Tim David came out costly, as Mumbai knocked them out. The DC management team expressed their disappointment over this loss as it was in their hands completely.

His review decisions and choice of playing XI got questioned throughout the tournament by the cricket fraternity. Even as a batter, he did not have a good outing this year as he managed to score 340 runs in 13 innings at an average of 30.91.
