As Glenn Maxwell and Vini Raman completed one month of marriage on Wednesday (April 27), Royal Challengers Bangalore organized a celebratory event for the couple inside the bio-bubble. Several players took to their social media pages and shared pictures from the function. The players were spotted enjoying their time at the party sporting traditional Indian attire. Video of former skipper Virat Kohli grooving to Samantha Prabhu’s “Oo Antava” song has also gone viral.
For the unversed, Maxwell tied knots with his long-time girlfriend Vini Raman on March 27 this year. As Vini is of Indian origin, the wedding took place as per Indian rituals. Owing to his wedding, Maxwell entered the RCB bio-bubble a bit late and also missed a few games. In any case, he wouldn’t have played before April 6 owing to the directives of Cricket Australia.

Meanwhile, foreign players like Sherfane Rutherford and Wanindu Hasaranga took to social media and shared their pictures from the event. Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma also shared a picture with her husband Virat Kohli, stating this is her first experience of a wedding function inside a bio-bubble. “Wedding function in a bubble! Now I think I’ve seen and celebrated possibly every function and festival in a bubble! #BubbleLife,” read the caption of Anushka’s post.

RCB has lost momentum after a brilliant start to the competition
Meanwhile, the Bengaluru-based team, under new skipper Faf du Plessis, made an emphatic start to IPL 2022, winning five of their first seven games. However, they now seem to have lost momentum, having suffered defeats in their last couple of outings. They were bundled out for just 68 in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Their defeat against Rajasthan Royals must have been heart-breaking as well, as they failed to chase down a paltry-looking 145. Hence, the three-time finalists must make a strong comeback before it’s too late. Virat Kohli’s form is a subject of concern for RCB and the veteran batter would be raring to get his mojo back soon.
