The Royals started their IPL 2022 campaign with a 61-run victory over the Sunrisers in the fifth match of the tournament. They posted a total of 210 runs on the board at the loss of six wickets, setting their opponents a massive target to chase. RR were dominant since the start of the innings as they restricted SRH to the lowest-ever powerplay total by any team, that being 14/3. Chahal played a crucial role in the match by picking up three wickets and giving away just 22 runs.

In a video shared by the Rajasthan Royals on their official Instagram handle, RR fielding coach Yagnik chanted the words ’10 rupay ki pepsi, Yuzi bhai sexy’ for Chahal. They captioned the video saying- “The chant has made its way from the stands in Pune to the dressing room.”

To continue the fun, Yagnik posted a comment on the video saying “Its my voice seems”. The chant was previously used for Shreyas Iyer where the audience, at the stadium, were heard chanting ‘10 rupay ki pepsi, Iyer bhai sexy’. It was the day when Iyer made his Test debut against New Zealand in November 2021 and went on to score a century.
Chahal was handed over the cap for his debut game for the Royals. He was released by the Royal Challengers Bangalore and picked up by the Rajasthan Royals during the mega-auction in February. In his first game for the Royals, he . SRH were restricted to 149/7 in 20 overs with RR winning the match by a big margin in the end.
