Kolkata Knight Riders’ wicketkeeper Sheldon Jackson grabbed everyone’s attention when he stumped Chennai Super Kings’ Robin Uthappa in their campaign opener. KKR locked horns with CSK in the first game of the 2022 IPL season and defeated them by six wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 26, Saturday.

Jackson stumped Uthappa when the latter stepped out to face Varun Chakravarthy’s delivery but couldn’t connect it and was dismissed as a result. For this particular stumping, Jackson received praise from Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, as he said that the stumping was at the speed of lightning and reminded him of MS Dhoni. Jackson was really quick in dismissing Uthappa, leaving no scope for him to come back into the crease.

While this stumping is something that caught everyone’s attention, Yuvraj Singh was the one who got worried for Jackson and urged him to wear a helmet, while keeping to spinners, in his tweet. “Dear #SheldonJackson please wear a helmet when u keeping to spinners ! You are a very talented player and have a golden opportunity after a long time be safe !!! And all the best #CSKvKKR #IPL2022”

Thanking Yuvraj for showing concern, Jackson retweeting the former’s tweet wrote, “Thank you so so much bhaiya.”
