Though the Capitals have a very able batting lineup, they could sometimes be made to miss batters who can play an anchor role in certain scenarios. Now and then the opposition will post a total on the board that could seem tricky as it might not be too big or too small.
Such run chases usually work out well when the chasing side has a batter who can play right through the innings without taking too many chances. In all the explosive batters that the Capitals possess, they might find themselves in certain situations where they need less aggression and more calmness.
The role of an anchor is a very crucial one as they can steady the ship if early wickets fall upfront. Most of the DC batters like to take on the bowling right from the word go and can sometimes lack patience. Thus, the probability of such a method triggering an odd batting collapse is high when the team lacks a player who can prevent it from happening.
