5. DC- Prithvi Shaw
Undoubtedly, the DC franchise has invested massively in the young Prithvi Shaw. The cricketer after IPL 2021 was also retained by the management. Personally, the coach Ricky Ponting views Prithvi as someone with the utmost potential to unleash. However, in response, the youngster has recently just given good returns to Delhi.
Interestingly since IPL 2021, the 22-year old has immensely developed as a batter that DC had desired. As the lad is known for his attacking batting, Prithvi’s strike rate has been almost 160 since last season. However, the cricketer has also now amassed consistent runs that earlier wasn’t the case. Collectively since IPL 2021, Prithvi has scored 738 runs from 24 games.
Comprehensively though the batter still lacks providing finishing touches, his main role is often getting attained by the youngster. Therefore, it won’t be a surprise if Delhi further nourishes Prithivi and make him a world-class opener.
