Match 30 of IPL 2022 witnessed some spectacular batting performances between Kolkata Knight Riders and the Rajasthan Royals at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on April 18. While RR posted a mammoth total batting first, KKR also gave them a run for their money riding on counter-attacking knocks from two of their seasoned players.
Skipper Shreyas Iyer and Aaron Finch carried out the rescue act and took the attack to the Rajasthan bowlers. At one point, it seemed as if the duo would take the match away from the Royals but that was not to be. More importantly, when Finch got out that is when things got a bit worse on the field.
Aaron Finch vents his frustration after getting out
Aaron Finch who was playing his second match for KKR made a strong statement with an amazing knock of 58 runs from 28 deliveries at an outstanding strike rate of 207.14 that included nine fours and two sixes. He looked set for a big one but lost his wicket on the final ball of the ninth over when he was caught by Karun Nair off Prasidh Krishna.
However, while Finch was walking back to the dugout after being dismissed he turned toward Prasidh and said something to the youngster. The emerging pacer did not back down either and gave it back to the Australian limited-overs skipper.

Aaron Finch was involved in a 107-run stand for the second wicket with Shreyas Iyer after Kolkata lost pinch-hitter, Sunil Narine, for a golden duck. Once the T20 World Cup-winning captain was dismissed, the onus was on Iyer to anchor the chase and he tried his level best to make a match of it. He scored 85 runs from 51 balls.
Nonetheless, once he was caught plumb in front of the wicket by wrist-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, none of the other batters could contribute too much. Tail-ender Umesh Yadav contributed with a nine-ball 21 but that was not enough as KKR were bowled out for 210 in the final over to lose the game by seven runs.
