IPL 2022: Virat Kohli lets out a roar in delight after RCB get KL Rahul's wicket via DRS
While Kohli continues to struggle with the bat, he stays passionate on the field.
Virat Kohli is known to be a completely different guy on the field. He loves being competitive and wants to win a game for his team at any cost. While he was the Indian and RCB captain, the man showed his passion and continues to do so even when he is featuring as a player. The same was evident yet again in the game against Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday (April 19) when the skipper KL Rahul got out after RCB took a brilliant review for a caught-behind dismissal.
In the 8th over of the innings, Harshal Patel bowled a harmless delivery down the leg-side which KL Rahul looked to glance it away in order to churn a boundary. But he couldn’t get the required touch on the ball which went to wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik. However, it seemed as if a part of his bat or glove touched the ball even as Karthik was not confident at all.
But given that it was KL Rahul, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis decided to take a chance and went for the review. The Snickometer proved that the ball had brushed the LSG skipper’s gloves on its way to the keeper. As soon as it was confirmed on the big screen, Virat Kohli let out a huge roar celebrating the crucial wicket. Faf, who was standing close to the 33-year-old, also hugged him in delight as the game had suddenly turned towards RCB.

Virat Kohli’s poor run in IPL 2022
While Virat Kohli continues to be passionate about the game, his returns with the bat have been meagre in IPL 2022. He has so far scored only 119 runs in seven innings including a golden duck in the game against LSG. He is yet to score a fifty this season and will be hoping to turn around his season soon. His friend AB de Villiers and even the RCB coach are backing him to return to form sooner or later during the season as well and it will be interesting to see when Kohli scores big.
