Virat Kohli has never been shy of revealing his emotions and is one of the most animated cricketers on the field. He lifts up the energy inside the team and has always wanted his team to win. In the game against Chennai Super Kings, Kohli was back with his pumped-up celebrations as he was spotted punching the air after MS Dhoni’s wicket. In fact, he had also splattered a few words at the moment which CSK fans might not be impressed with.

Chasing a target of 174 set by RCB, the Chennai Super Kings openers Ruturaj Gaikwad (28) and Devon Conway (56) were involved in a good start and managed to stick a 50-run partnership. However, once Gaikwad perished, wickets started falling quickly despite Moeen Ali’s resistance.

Dhoni came into at number seven, however, he could not repeat his heroics again as he was dismissed for just 2 off 3 deliveries by Josh Hazlewood. Kohli does know the finishing abilities of Dhoni and he was quite animated after seeing the dismissal of the veteran player. It also showed how desperate Kohli was to see his side win as they had been on a three-match losing streak.

Here’s the animated reaction from Virat Kohli after MS Dhoni’s dismissal

Kohli, who has been out of runs for a while now in international cricket, played a slow knock of 30 off 33 deliveries earlier in the day. He is yet to discover his best form in the tournament this year, and has scored just 216 runs in 11 games with his strike rate dropping massively.

RCB, with the 13-run win against CSK, have moved into the top four of the points table and have won six and lost five games so far in the tournament. They will still need to continue their winning run in the league games to ensure a spot in the playoffs.
