Wasim Jaffer and Michael Vaughan keep taking digs at each other. They don’t miss any opportunity to pull each other’s legs. Their fun banter keeps the cricket fans engaged as they dive into some entertainment.
In another such incident, the two have yet again indulged in a hilarious duel on social media. Vaughan, on Monday, shared his opinion on Umran Malik, saying that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) should send the youngster to play some county cricket, where he will get the chance to grow and develop. Umran has impressed with his pace so far in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season. He has also clocked 150 kph multiple times.
Impressed with Malik, Vaughan penned his thoughts on Twitter writing: “Umran Malik will play for India very soon … If I was the @BCCI I would be sending him to play some County cricket this summer to help him develop first though … #IPL2022.”
To this, Wasim Jaffer replied with a funny video of former England captain Alastair Cook mimicking some player’s bowling style while playing at the county cricket. Jaffer took a cheeky dig at county cricket, to make him (Vaughan) realize the quality and seriousness of the game there.

There have been a lot of speculations about England’s situation in the longer format of the game. England stand last in the World Test Championship points table as they have suffered multiple defeats, and just one victory during the whole cycle. The team was criticized after they lost the Ashes series against Australia by 4-0. Their recent outing against the West Indies was also not great as they lost the three-match series 0-1.
Umran Malik has been the fastest pacer of IPL 2022 so far
While speaking of the IPL 2022, Sunrisers Hyderabad had retained Umran Malik ahead of the mega auction this year, and the pacer has proved to be very promising for the team. In all the games he has represented the team so far, he has been adjudged with the award for the fastest delivery of the match.
Earlier, former India coach Ravi Shastri had also praised Malik for his performance and had said that the lad has the ability to make it to the national side. In his previous encounter, Malik clocked his fastest delivery at 153 kmph and recorded the quickest ball of the season.
