Mumbai, 14th April 2022: Gujarat Titans’ innovative fan engagement strategy will take a big leap with a player interaction in The Metaverse. Opening batter Shubman Gill will chat with fans in the Gujarat Titans’ Locker Room and Home Stadium in The Metaverse on April 15, 2022 at 17:00 IST. Gill will feature in The Metaverse to show the fans around the two rooms created by the team and will also answer a few questions.
To log in to the interactions, fans must download the Spatial app on their phones, desktop/laptop or Virtual Reality devices. Fans can click here to visit the Gujarat Titans Locker Room. The official Gujarat Titans social media handles will also share the link to join The Metaverse and take a tour of those rooms along with Gill. The first 45 people to enter the room will get a chance to share the space with the Gujarat Titans opener. During the tour, Gill will also explore certain features of The Metaverse.
Looking ahead to the event, Gill said, “New technology has always excited me and my initial experiences with The Metaverse have been great. We may be in the bio-secure bubble, but this technology allows us to interact with the fans and also make them feel a part of the Gujarat Titans family. I am looking forward to meeting them in The Metaverse on Friday.”
“As technology evolves, human interactions take different forms. The Metaverse is a new medium that promises to connect people across the world on a virtual reality platform. For the Gujarat Titans, it presents a great opportunity to build a closer relationship with the fans. Such interactions will create a greater bond within the Gujarat Titans family,” said Arvinder Singh, COO Gujarat Titans.
Notably, ahead of the 15th edition of the IPL, the Gujarat Titans had also unveiled their logo in The Metaverse, as they became the first Indian team to launch a logo in a virtual space.
