IPL: 4 players Mumbai Indians might retain ahead of the mega auction
MI are the five-time IPL champions, but they couldn't qualify for the playoffs in 2021.
2. Kieron Pollard
Kieron Pollard – The humongous all-rounder was roped in by the Mumbai Indians in his first auction appearance and he has gone on to be successful. He is a terrific hitter of the ball and an exuberant fielder and a fairly decent bowler.
The tailor-made player for this format has been the core pillar of the team since then. He has always been retained by the management over the years. Pollard has played 178 matches hitting 3268 runs with a strike rate of 149.77 and has taken 65 wickets.
Pollard has not failed to impress the management even a single year. He has also captained the side plenty of times in the absence of their perpetual skipper – Rohit Sharma. He has finished many matches with the bat for his team and has always prevailed as the key player of the team in the tournament. He would definitely be on the retention list considering his performances and bond with the team.
