IPL: 4 players PBKS might retain ahead of the mega auction
The Punjab-based team is yet to get its hands on the coveted IPL trophy out of 14 editions.
3) Mohammed Shami
Mohammed Shami is currently one of the best Indian pacers. You wouldn’t find too many seamers as bankable as him. Not only can he bowl with the new ball but he can also bowl at the death.
The pacer has picked 79 wickets in 77 IPL games so far with a bowling average and strike rate of 30.41 and 21.14 respectively. His economy rate in the Indian T20 league is 8.63 which is fairly decent in this format.
His experience would come in handy for the franchise. Moreover it would be really risky to release him as several teams would have their eyes on him and would want him in their franchise. Besides, retaining him guarantees the team of at least one world-class bowler.
