Before receiving this brimming IPL deal, Jaydev Unadkat had a commendable IPL 2017 season. The pacer while representing the RPSG team had scalped 24 wickets from 12 matches. Even his economy was impressively placed at 7.02. Interestingly in the next 2018 mega auction, Unadkat had become a blue-eyed cricketer.

In particular, the RR management had just signed the 30-year-old in a single bid at the auction table. By receiving INR 11.5 crore, Unadkat also had become the most expensive Indian player in the 2018 edition. But with regards to his performances, sadly the cricketer slumped.

From his 15 appearances, Unadkat just picked 11 wickets at an economy of 9.65. Though Rajasthan had also qualified for playoffs, Unadkat’s bowling was perceived to be the weakest link. Agonizingly, the spearhead is still in search of a breakthrough season in the IPL.
