In their first home match, Rising Pune Supergiants suffered to their 3rd consecutive loss in the ongoing season against the mighty Royal Challengers Bangalore. After been put into bat, RCB put on a big total of 185/3 in their 20 overs. Captain Virat Kohli scored 80 while star of the game AB de Villiers scored 83.
RPS lost a couple of early wickets in their chase along with Kevin Pietersen, who went off retired hurt. Ajinkya Rahane and Pune’s captain MS Dhoni tried to steady the ship. Both got out while accelerating but Thisara Perera along with Rajat Bhatia smashed a few boundaries towards the end but they ended 13 short of the target.
