IPL Best Catch of the Season Winners List

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has long awarded excellence in the field, whether with the bat or the ball. However, the premier domestic competition opened their arms to exceptional performance by the fielders in 2013, introducing the Best Catch of the Season award. The award is handed out after the conclusion of the IPL final, commemorating the best catch of the tournament.

Since the inception of the award, seven fielders have been recognized for their exceptional catches, with former Chennai Super Kings icon Suresh Raina being the only player to bag the award on consecutive occasions. Kings XI Punjab's (now Punjab Kings) Gurkeerat Mann was the first cricketer to win the award after his catch to dismiss Ross Taylor was voted the best catch of the tournament for IPL 2013.

Mumbai Indians' Kieron Pollard and Chennai Super Kings' Dwayne Bravo were the recipients of the award in the next two seasons, respectively. Former Indian cricketer and Chennai Super Kings icon Suresh Raina, who has the most catches to his name in the competition's history, claimed the award on successive occasions in 2016 and 2017 while representing the now-defunct Gujarat Lions.

Pollard became only the second player to get his hands on the award on two separate occasions when his catch was voted as the best catch of the season in 2019. His compatriot Evin Lewis was the latest recipient of the prestigious accolade after his one-handed stunner to dismiss Rinku Singh sealed Lucknow Super Giants' berth in the playoffs of IPL 2022.
