IPL GC forms a 6-member committee to study the Lodha report: The all important IPL Governing Council meeting concluded with BCCI forming a 6-member group which will study the Lodha Committee report within 6 weeks. The group will be led by IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla.

The group will study the verdict, in consultation with all the key advisors and explore all the possible measures to be adopted. The group will work within a time bound period of 6 weeks and report their recommendations to the IPL Governing Council.

“The IPL GC authorised me to constitute a working group which will submit report within 6 weeks on how will it be implemented.” IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla stated.

“We have decided to implement the Lodha committee report. We respect the verdict.” Rajeev Shukla, IPL Chairman muttered.

“We will talk to our sponsors & broadcasters,legal experts, and will submit the report” Rajeev Shukla said.

In a meet took place in Mumbai, the BCCI also forms a working group to prepare the road map for IPL. To take further decisions regarding the betterment of the game in the country.

Earlier, in a landmark judgment, the Justice Lodha committee found Chennai Super Kings (CSK) official Gurunath Meiyappan and Rajasthan Royals (RR) co-owner Raj Kundra guilty, and imposed life suspensions on the duo.

The committee also suspended Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals from participating in the IPL for a period of two years.
