IPL: Harbhajan Singh dismisses speculations of leaving CSK

The news of Harbhajan Singh joining the Delhi Daredevils (DD) as the mentor of the franchise is doing the rounds all day. To join them, the off-spinner then had to leave his current team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as a player and retire from the game. However, the man himself has come out with a clarification now and has quashed out all the speculations while praising CSK as one of the best franchise.
Harbhajan, for the first time in the IPL history, played for a team other than the Mumbai Indians (MI) this year. The Men in Yellow eventually went on to win the trophy famously in their comeback season. Bhajji also played a crucial role in the 13 matches he played. He didn’t feature for CSK in all the games but had a lot to offer during his stint in the middle.
Bhajji clarifies
Harbhajan Singh, while speaking to Inside sport, has dismissed all the talks of joining the Delhi franchise and claimed that he is more than happy with his current and as of now have no plans to leave them. With his statement, he also confirmed that he will be featuring in the tournament next year.
“There is no need for anyone to speculate and believe this kind of sources. at the moment I am happy being where I am. They (CSK) are a great franchise and we are a great team. I am having a good time,” he said. The offie is currently in England covering the ongoing Test series between the hosts and India as the commentator for Sky Sports.
Bhajji also went on to say that he is the best source to know anything about him and urged everyone not to believe in any speculations. “If at all I have to make a move I will reveal it myself. There is no need to believe sources. I am the best source for any news about me,” the 38-year-old added.
Meanwhile, the Daredevils are going through a whole lot of changes in their management and Ricky Ponting is likely to be handed over all the rights.
