Rajasthan Royals have been a part of IPL since the inaugural season and were the champions in the first season. a Jaipur-based franchise, the Royals have had some legends of the game like Shane Warne and Rahul Dravid. They were removed from the league after the 2015 season because of the spot-fixing scandal. Nevertheless, they made a comeback in the 2018 season.
Rajasthan Royals were using blue-colored jerseys from the first season before they rebranded their franchise and came up with a pink-dominated jersey. They wore pink-colored jerseys in one game in 2018 to support the awareness for breast cancer. They decided to wear the pink-colored jersey for the full season ahead of the commencement of the 2019 season. Their color of jersey had a dual meaning. They raise awareness about breast cancer but the pink color also celebrates Jaipur’s identity as India’s pink city.
