IPL: Rating top 10 team logos of all time
Having more than 14 teams associated in the history of the IPL, and an endless count of variations and logos of the franchises, let's look at the top 10 of all time.
7. Kochi Tuskers Kerala (KTK)– 7.5/10
In the one year of its existence in the IPL, the Kerala franchise changed the team name after unveiling it, finished 8th out of the 10 teams while also featuring the top names at that time as a part of their squad. Unlike their performances in the 2011 season of the IPL, their franchise logo didn’t let the spectators down.
The Indian elephant is a common sight when you enter the Kerala state. Looking at the team name, Kochi Tuskers Kerala got their logo spot on by incorporating the local essence in their design. The team’s logo was an abstract elephant and presented the ‘Kochi Tuskers Kerala’ text boldly and assertively. Not only this, the tusks protruding from both sides symbolised strength, moderation and eternity, something which the franchise hoped for.
Things didn’t fall in place for the franchise, and they ironically couldn’t last an eternity in the tournament. The creativity and uniqueness of the logo help it receive a rating of 7.5/10 making it one of the top logos featured in the IPL.
