The out-of-favour Indian cricketer, Irfan Pathan has posted a picture from the archives on social media much to the delight of his fans. The all-rounder is not playing any international cricket at the moment but finds a way or the other to keep his fans busy and updated regarding his routine. Recently, he had posted a video on Facebook to thank his 1 million fans and informed them about his upcoming cricketing season.

Irfan is gearing up for the upcoming season of Ranji Trophy where he will play for his state side Baroda. The squad for the tournament is not yet announced by the state association but he is expected to be picked. Ranji Trophy is India’s major domestic tournament and is the best one to slot back into the national team. The selectors always keep their eye on the performances of the players during the competition and Pathan would be hoping for a mindblowing show for his side. Ranji season will commence on October 6 as Tamil Nadu will clash against Andhra Pradesh in the opening encounter.

All-rounder cooking the food

Irfan Pathan made his international debut at a very early age of 19 and mesmerized everyone with his ability to swing the bowl. He also picked a hat-trick against arch-rivals Pakistan in a Test match in 2006. However, very few must have known about his life beyond cricket before he joined the Indian team. The 32-year-old, himself has posted his picture where he is seen cooking food to let his followers know about his love for food on social media website Instagram. His message read, “A picture taken before I started playing cricket 😉 #love #memory #food.”

While some were delighted to see his cuteness at his young age, few lauded him for his efforts and termed his hard work has earned him a lot of success so far. Irfan would surely love to make a comeback in the national side on the back of a decent performance in the upcoming season of Ranji Trophy.
