After a Ramadan marred by lockdown and social distancing, individuals all around the world celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr and Twitter was flooded with celebratory wishes in no time. Lakhs of tweets surfaced across the micro-blogging website where people extended wishes and prayed for happiness, wealth, and health on the occasion.
A string of cricketers passed on wishes on the occasion. From Shoaib Akhtar and Darren Sammy to Ishant Sharma and Suresh Raina, a plethora of cricketers wished their fans on Eid 2020. Many players also shared pictures with their families on the auspicious occasion. Former India international Irfan Pathan also extended Eid wishes to everyone while sharing a picture with his father.
The bowling all-rounder also took a sly dig at his brother Yusuf in the tweet. He mentioned that ‘Eidy’ is what he looks forward to every Eid. Irfan, while mentioning about the ‘Eidy’ which he got from his father, said that he grabbed everything even before Yusuf could come and ask for his ‘Eidy’.

Yusuf, in response to Irfan’s tweet, said that he had filled his pockets with ‘Eidy’, a day before the occasion. A stunned Ifran replied to Yusuf, “Wowwwww face ye kab hua??”

Irfan Pathan had recently urged everyone to offer Namaz at home itself
During the month of Ramadan, Irfan was actively involved in spreading awareness amid COVID-19 outbreak. Recently, before the Eid, Irfan had urged everyone to maintain social distancing and offer their Namaz at home itself. He had also shared a video tutorial on Instagram showing how one should offer prayers at home on the occasion of Eid.
The Pathan brothers have also contributed actively to aid in the battle against the pandemic. Along with spreading awareness, Yusuf and Irfan had also donated masks and ration for the poor and needy people of their hometown Baroda.
Irfan had also visited the Vadodara Collector’s Office and had a discussion with Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. In the interaction, Irfan had suggested several measures that would help in curbing the COVID-19 outbreak in the state.
