Irfan Pathan enjoys special time in promoting Varun Dhawan's upcoming movie

The most celebrate Twenty20 cricket festival in India, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 received some enormous support from the cricketers, crowds at the Wankhede stadium and many more people who joined hands to enlighten the event. The ravishing opening ceremony and then the thrilling on-field cricket expedition also lived to up to the massive expectations of everyone, on the opening day of IPL extravaganza.

The returning Chennai Super Kings defeated the defending champions Mumbai Indians at its home venue by 1 wicket and courtesy a special heroic performance by all-rounder Dwayne Bravo with both the bat and ball.

Irfan also engages in some movie promotions

Veteran Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan, who was part of the winning Indian team in the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in 2007, surprisingly received no bids at the IPL 2018  auction. Thus, the left-arm pacer remained unsold in the event and was not part of any IPL franchise for the first time as he was a featured player in all the last ten editions. However, Irfan was then hired by the Star Sports Network who is the official broadcaster for IPL 2018, as an expert panelist for the discussions and he was also seen taking the role of a commentator in the opening match.

The all-rounder delivered some great analysis during the discussion on the commentary in the game and in the shows leading to the start of this celebratory Twenty20 cricket carnival. Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan delivered a remarkable performance on the stage in the opening ceremony of the IPL 2018. Irfan Pathan also engaged himself in an enjoying time during a special promotion shoot at the opening day of the IPL along with Varun for his upcoming Bollywood flick titled ‘October’.

“It was fun shooting with u @Varun_dvn for @starsportsindia wish u all the luck for OCTOBER in the month of April ;)#fun #shoot” wrote Pathan on Twitter, on his time spent with the Bollywood actor for his  next film’s promotions.

Varun was reported as the highest paid performer getting INR 6 crores for his performance at the opening ceremony. His upcoming Bollywood movie ‘October’ is scheduled to  be released on 13th April.
