It has been a struggle since Irfan was dropped and he has been fighting for his spot ever since. The allrounder last played for India in a T20 against South Africa but has been out of favour ever since. He has been working hard for his comeback but had to face the competition from a lot of young cricketers.
It has been ever so hard for him to break into the team and even Yusuf Pathan has fallen behind but it is not impossible. Irfan leading Baroda played some handy knocks and bowled extremely well in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament earlier in the year. It will help him to keep going and perform well domestically. The upcoming season has a lot in store for both the brothers.
