Irfan Pathan replaces actor Rajkummar Rao on reality show

Irfan Pathan will be seen in a new role as he has replaced Rajkummar Rao in reality show Lip Sing battle. Rao, who fractured his leg while shooting for Farah Khan’s show with Kriti Sanon, is now out of action as he has been advised bed rest by his doctor. As a result, the makers were looking for another actor in his place to pair with Kriti.

“Tiger Shroff and Varun Dhawan who have been Kriti’s co-stars in Heropanti and Dilwale respectively, were approached but neither have the dates to spare. Kriti also has some prior work commitments and cannot accommodate another day for the shoot.”

So, now she will not be part of the show. Instead, the makers are looking for fresh pairings. Some of the actors who are being approached for the show include Shabbir Ahluwalia, Sakshi Tanwar. Another cricket approached for the show was Harbhajan Singh.

However, finally, cricketer Irfan Pathan and Tamannaah Bhatia are going to do the show. They will be pitted against each other and they will shoot for the episode today. It is in place of the Rajkummar-Kriti episode,” says a source, as reported by DNA.

Very recently, Pathan admitted that he was aware that his time was running out for a comeback in the Indian team. The Baroda captain said in an interview with ESPNCricinfo that, “I started early this season and I’m doing everything that I could to hopefully achieve my dream in the future. This season is going to be very, very crucial. I know that I’m standing on thin ice.”

In this season of the Ranji Trophy, Baroda have made a forgettable start with a defeat to Madhya Pradesh and a drawn game against Andhra Pradesh. Irfan started off on a high with a fine 88-run knock against MP in a game wherein he added 188 with his brother Yusuf Pathan, but didn’t show the same fireworks against Andhra with scores of 0 and 4.
